The kernels are feed into the machine via an adjustable vibro feeder. Here the cutting process is executed with the aid of two perforated drums and knife baskets, that are fastened on a pivoting frame. During operation rotating spiked rollers ensure that the holes in the drum are cleaned.

The product can be inspected at anytime through large inspection windows on the front of the machine and via doors. To achieve an optimal result, the perforation of the drums, the knife spacing and the knife angle can be adjusted for the specific grain.
