Cutting process

For production of transversly cut cereal grains, so-called groats, the grain is fed into the machine via an adjustable vibro feeder. Cutting is executed with the aid of two perforated drums and knife baskets.

Pre-sorting

In the plansifter there are multiple sifting compartments with sieve stacks. The product drops through a pipe onto the first screen deck. Due to the circular vibration movement of the screens, the machine screens out fraction by fraction and the fractions are routed out of the machine via separate discharges.

Final classification

The indent cylinder classifies the cut and in some cases uncut grain by length. The work cylinder consists of two half shells that have tear-drop shaped dents. The product is separated in these dents.

Dedusting

In the air channel the air that flows upward is drawn through the product veil of the grain. Here the husks and husk parts with lower specific weight are pulled off and pulled upward. In this step the last husks and fine parts are removed from the groats.
