Hydrothermical treatment

The product is steamed in the interior of the cooker - usually with admixture of additional ingredients - and thus made flexible for further processing on the roller mill. Rotation of the cooker during the entire cooking process ensures a homogeneous result.

Pre-drying

The cooked maize grits fall onto the perforated screen base and are mixed via 4 agitator arms and uniformly dried. Drying is generated by a vertical air flow into the machine.

Flaking

After drying the flakes are rolled from the maize grits. For this the product is distributed uniformly over the entire width of the rollers. The high hydraulic contact pressure and precise roller adjustment ensure cornflakes with uniform quality.

Roasting

The cornflakes that are still soft and flexible are dried in the roaster through heat. This is also where the cornflakes get their typical crunch.

Cooling

The roasted corn flakes are cooled by the blowing in of cold air while the product is gently transported on the flap belt from the infeed to the discharge.
